A student at the prestigious University of Betoota is putting her mind and her touch typing skills to the test this morning as she attempts to bypass the Queensland Herald’s paywall.
Feverishly typing, the woman, who wished to remain anonymous, explained to our reporter – who was at the university library borrowing a Britannica box set – how she was just like Hugh Jackman in Swordfish.
“I have 60 seconds to do what most hackers do in 60 minutes” she ground out.
When asked about this seemingly arbitrary self-imposed time limit, the anonymous woman scoffed.
“What, you think I can just take my time on this open air computer? They’ll be on to me the second I break in” she said, stealing nervous glances over her shoulder.
After ‘hacking’ for the best part of 10 minutes, which actually just looked like searching reddit, the anonymous woman was through.
“You’ll never..shut down.. The real… Napster” she said to no one.
The woman then went on to read a number of articles about a public scuffle between a popular morning show presenter and a local fisherman.
More to come.
