A bloke who only gets his opinions from Sky News and Daily Mail has today proclaimed that he has no plans to see the new Superman movie because he doesn’t want leftie talking points rammed down his throat.

This comes as alt-right talking heads, including conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro, have been quick to label the movie ‘woke’ due to its ‘pro immigrant and anti-capitalist agenda.’

Created in the late 1930s, ‘Superman’ was sent to his earth by his parents shortly before Krypton was destroyed – and in some versions of the comics, it’s a natural cataclysm, which would make Superman one the the most famous climate refugee in fiction – where he is then adopted by farmers Jonathon and Martha Kent, who name him Clark Kent.

An adult Clark fights crime by night, while keeping an alias by becoming a journalist for The Daily Planet. It’s through his crimefighting that he makes arch enemies with a bald-headed billionaire named ‘Lex Luthor’, who bears no superpowers of his own but has unrivalled wealth and influence over politics, science and technology.

Luther has embodied different forms of villainy through various comic book eras, including being a mad scientist in the earlier editions.

Most modern adaptations of Luther see him commonly being portrayed as a ruthless corporate tycoon.

However, this doesn’t seem to matter much to local bloke Greg Manning, 35, who seems to have forgotten that the story of Superman was always about a working-class superhuman defeating a capitalist megalomaniac – as are the majority of all superhero tales.

“Yeah Hollywood has always been full of liberals”, says Greg, who consumes so much American media he seems to have forgotten what liberals mean in Australia, “I have no desire to watch that rubbish.”

“Of course he’s a fucking journalist too!”

More to come.
