A recent trend report out of the Betoota Fashion Institute has released findings that will bring about a satisfying ‘aha’ moment for millennials and Gen Xers, who have long been wondering why Gen Z are so obsessed with self-described ‘trend setting’ brand, White Fox.
The report revealed many interesting insights, however the most notable was that White Fox is just a 2025 Paul Frank.
Upon hearing the revelation, it became instantly clear to one Betoota Sounds woman what all the fuss was about.
“Ohhh, now I get it” said Jessica, a fashion savvy millennial who had long been wondering why every young person was wearing the same thing.
Paul Frank is a clothing brand that skyrocketed during the Y2K fashion era, with playful illustrations of Julius the monkey grinning at everyone from jumpers, tees, caps, even pencil cases. Back in the early 2000s if you were cool, you wore Paul Frank.
The report went on to predict that 2026 would bring with it the resurgence of brands like Von Dutch and Juicy Couture, a prediction that Jessica the fashion savvy millennial is unsure how to feel about.
“Maybe I can just list my old stuff on depop and call it vintage.”
More to come.
