A local intellectual has today wowed his colleagues, by displaying his incredible linguistic and cultural prowess.

Alistair Muxley, a 32-year-old Betoota Grove son blew his office away after dropping a commonly used word into conversation.

However, like his quirky tattoos and his pulled back hair, Alistair did it with his own special je ne sais quois.

“Haha yeah, just having my Yog-Gert,” said Alistair, saying the word yoghurt in that stupid way.

After draw gasps of wonderment, Alistair explained that his dad is actually English and that’s why he has such a brilliant grasp of the English language.

“Look I take pride in saying words in a magical way,” he said.

“In a way that honours the beautiful contours and shapes of the spoken word.”

“It might come across as wanky to you peasants, but I won’t shy away from that.”

Speaking to The Advocate, one of Alistair’s colleagues said she was blown away.

“Wow, he’s just so impressive.”

“I’ve heard him use the word hence before, but this was something else.”

“What a guy.”

More to come.
