Aussie rock legends AC/DC have just announced they’ll be touring their homeland for the first time in ten years this November and December, with shows scheduled in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

Coincidentally, this timing overlaps with US metal giants Metallica, who’ll also be touring in early November and playing shows in Sydney and Melbourne just days apart from AC/DC.

While the two bands aren’t exactly cut from the same cloth, there’s plenty of crossover appeal among Gen X rockdogs – some metalheads don’t mind a bit of Acca Dacca (though they may argue every song sounds the same) and some AC/DC fans reckon Metallica goes alright (as long as it’s the early stuff).

The news has electrified rock fans across the country, and sent neck brace companies and physios into a state of euphoria, as they prepare themselves for an onslaught of headbanging related injuries.

“Business has been a tough this year, so we’re very excited to hear about the back to back tour”, says Sydney based physio, Aarron Phipps, “or should I say, back in black tour haha.”

“We know a lack of hair won’t stop a true rockdog from headbanging to Highway To Hell.”

More to come.
