The world is inhaling sharply this morning, as a geopolitical conflict threatens to grow significantly in proportion.

In some unwelcome news on a Friday morning, Australia has learnt that Israel is now bombing Iran.

Reports emerged this morning that Israel has struck the Iranian capital of Tehran.

The strikes have landed over 2000 kilometres away from the Israeli border, in the latest act of self defence.

Israel has cited the reasons behind the attack being, a UN agency declaring Iran was breaching its nuclear non-proliferation obligations.

The strikes come just a few days after the Freedom Flotilla attempting to bring aid into the region of Gaza was intercepted, with the activists on board the ship arrested and deported.

Those arrests follow over 18 months of assaults on the tiny region of Gaza, with the death toll now rising to over 55,000, and growing every day with frequent reports of Palestinians attempting to get aid gunned down by Israeli troops.

It’s unknown what the extent of the latest attack of self defence on a country thousands of kilometres away will be, but Iran will obviously be urged by the United States and co not to aggressively attack Israel for no reason.

Unfortunately, more to come.
