A confidential document leaked from McLaren’s UK headquarters has revealed that Oscar Piastri is expected to attempt to win the Canadian Grand Prix this weekend.

The internal briefing, obtained by The Advocate, outlines a strategy in which the 23-year-old Melbournese driver will drive fast, execute overtakes where necessary, and try to finish ahead of the other nineteen cars.

The document, titled GP-2024-MTL-Piastri, includes terms such as “come first if possible,” “be very fast,” and “fucken get that orange cunt of a fucken thing into top gear cunt before we flog the piss out of you, you little fuck.”

Analysts say this suggests a deliberate plan to compete for first place.

When approached for comment, a McLaren spokesperson would not confirm the authenticity of the leak, but said the team is “always evaluating strategic options based on track conditions, weather, and driver performance.”

Sources close to McLaren say the strategy represents a shift in approach. In previous years, the team has typically focused on finishing races without major incidents and collecting mid-pack points.

Italian Motorsport analyst Enzo Ortophelashio said the document raises serious questions about intent.

“If Piastri is genuinely planning to try and win the race, that changes things. It puts pressure on the other drivers to also try to win. It will be a hell of a race if all 20 drivers are trying to win,” he said.

Teammate Lando Norris is believed to be preparing for a similar strategy, although insiders say his approach is weird and will depend heavily on him being faster than everyone else.

The Canadian Grand Prix will take place at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Sunday afternoon. Track officials say they are preparing for the possibility of a McLaren win, but have not yet allocated space on the podium for the team.

More to come.
