The American Embassy has today taken a quick minute to hose down some serious concerns from one of its most loyal allies.

In the aftermath of what looked like a Los Angeles Police Department officer deliberately shooting an Australian reporter with a rubber bullet, the Americans have explained that it’s ‘all part of the American experience.’

9News reporter Lauren Tomasi was shot yesterday with a rubber bullet while covering chaotic protests in Los Angeles, and while she said she was very sore, has thankfully confirmed she’s okay.

She’s vowed to continue telling stories that need to be told, with her country shaking their head at what is going on in America.

“Crud, I don’t know what you awwww seees (sic) are carrying on about,” laughed spokesperson Hank Wilberson.

“Copping some flak from a gun is the most American thing you can experience,” he laughed.

“A litre of cola with your meal, no vegetables, paying like 10-20% on everything because our minimum wage is fucked, homeless people everywhere in our major cities, needing a prescription to get anything more than paracetamol, rude New Yorkers, and getting hit with a bullet.”

“This is America, baby.”

The protests against the forced deportations of people from 12 countries continue today, as Trump and the Californian Governor trade barbs over the President’s decision to send in the National Guard.

More to come.
