A landmark study by the Royal Betoota Society For Good Taste has today confirmed that the appetiser known as Bruschetta – is actually just a waste of time, money and space.

The new report onto the financial efficiency of entrees or whatever you want to call them, has declared that the weird little morsels are not all they are cracked up to be.

“It’s probably the most overhyped dish on the face of planet earth,” said lead researcher Nigella Ramsey.

“Closely flowed by those greek biscuits (Kourabeides).”

“They are a bigger waste of money that the Morrison government’s $21 million app that detected 2 cases and 17 close contacts.”

“And don’t get me wrong, this isn’t some anglo-centric gripe about meat pies being the greatest culinary invention.”

“I love 99% of Italian (and Greek Cuisine) food.”

“Bruschetta is just a piece of shit.”

“It’s got very little flavour and the bread is always toasted to within an inch of its life.”

The report was at pains to specify that Bruschetta with some nice prosciutto or bocconcini is good, but that’s because it’s carried by the prosciutto or the bocconcini.

Bruschetta was unavailable to comment.
