The great state of South Australia is today recovering from some wild storms this week.
The fancy talking Coopers drinkers across the state are dealing with rather different weather events from the ocean to the dusty north.
Wild conditions have caused power outages, fallen trees, dust storms, flash flooding, rough seas and a cancellation of Kangaroo Island ferry services.
While the wild wet weather is attributable to systems that have been dousing the country, the cause of the wild dust storms wreaking havoc has finally been identified.
The cause for the sensational event was a rather innocuous act by the cleaner at the Port Adelaide Football Club.
Going through a run of the mill clean at the AFL club that has one lonely premiership back in the day, the cleaner decided to give the trophy cabinet a bit of a clean.
That act lead to massive release of dust that had built up since the last time it was opened in 2004.
Thankful all members of staff who were present in the facility manage to escape major injury, with some rather chunky boogers and a strong cough the worst of the symptoms.
A strong padlock has now been put on the cabinet, with no real need to open it predicted for the next while anyway.
More to come.
