The majority of the world’s major commercial media networks are this week slowly coming to terms with a new reality that faces them.

That new reality is that it’s getting quite difficult to disagree with the ‘lefties’ protesting in solidarity with the people of Gaza.

Despite ignoring and belittling the hordes of people getting out around the world to protest what is happening in Gaza, many news outlets are now realising that they’re actually echoing what those ‘noise merchants’ have kinda been saying all along.

“Yeah, it’s a bit of a tough spot we’ve found ourselves in,” sighed the Deputy Editor of the Betoota Bugle (the Murdoch owned newspaper here in town).

“Like these people saying Israel should stop bombing the shit out of Gaza, and stop killing women and children hiding in safe zones and hospitals, and allow the flow of humanitarian aid to the region – kinda have a point.”

“It’s not a great look that we’ve just been pretending that anyone breathing air in Gaza is a terrorist and anyone who says other wise is anti-semitic.”

“The crying and maimed infants that are appearing on people’s social media feeds don’t exactly look like terrorists.”

When asked whether his paper would start referring to what was happening in Gaza as genocide (like the United Nations, Amnesty International, and other experts and human rights organisations) the deputy editor laughed.

“Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves okay.”

More to come.
