In a deeply troubling sign for the national economy, a Bondi man has reportedly asked his mates if anyone wants to ‘go halves’ on a bag of cocaine this weekend, instead of buying a full one outright.
Cam Jennings, 28, a ‘wellness entrepreneur’ reportedly made the controversial statement in his group chat (Sesh bois) this morning, which has caused a shockwave amongst his mates.
“Oi should we just split one this weekend”, he’d messaged, prompting all his mates to fall silent for several minutes, “money’s a bit tight lol.”
Cam’s best mate, Rhys, says he was shocked by the message, as Cam’s ‘usually the first one to smash a bag to himself.’
He also adds that Cam has also switched from CrossFit back to regular gym sessions and limited his açai bowls to just one a week.
Experts warn that if more Bondi residents follow suit, the ripple effect could be catastrophic, with boutique gyms, linen shirt retailers, and oat milk distributors all expected to suffer.
Meanwhile, economists are now watching for the next major indicator: if millennial blokes stop travelling to Japan.
More to come.
