A Perth man has today been treated to a rather interesting story courtesy of the Prime Minister.

Rashid Shahidi who runs a Carlisle culinary institution in Southern Perth said he was blown away to learn about the trials and tribulations of Anthony Albanese.

“Yeah, I was shocked to learn that he was the son of a single mum who grew up in free housing and went to a good school for free before going to university for free and then getting a good job,” said Shahidi.

“I’VE NEVER HEARD THAT BEFORE,” laughed the man who keeps across the current news cycle and may or may not have heard the pitch tens of times before today.

His comments come as he hosted the Prime Minister during a last minute campaign splash in the Golden West, flanked by the popular Premier Roger Cook and a raft of other Labor people.

“But seriously, you used to do this in your country? What the hell,” asked the refugee that grew up in a war torn region ripped apart by Western imperialism in pursuit of resource control.

“All of that amazing stuff. And this guy grew up with it, but is steering the country away from it?”

“I mean at least he doesn’t demonise people with my skin like the other party, but what is going on?”

Shahidi says while he had plenty of thoughts running through his mind, he decided it was best to just nod along at the PM’s houso origin story.

“Better for business.”

More to come.
