The aspiring next member for Wannon has gone all out today, it can be confirmed.

Alex Dyson, the former Triple J presenter and current candidate for the regional Victorian seat of Wannon has done so by sending it at the Warrnambool races.

“Yeah fucking day for it,” laughed Dyson, drinking his 4th Candadian Club of the afternoon after moving on from mid strength a couple of hours ago.

“It’s campaign season baby, and that means going the big lift,” laughed the comedian who’s hoping to wrestle the seat off the Libs for the first time since its inception.

“If that means getting on the tins and donating a bit of money to the local bookies, well so be it.”

Speaking while swaying forward and backward at the urinal, Dyson explained that the move to attend the famous regional racing carnival was aimed at swinging some more conservative voters.

“Can’t get much further from inner city leftie than getting on the tins at the ‘Bool,” continued Dyson.

“Might go and get in a punch on with someone from the Rat (Aarat) just to prove I’m the real deal to anyone who’s still got second thoughts.”

Dyson then asked our reporter who we had in the last?

“Mate this is my third crack at this thing, and I don’t have the backing of a major party,” he said.

“So tip me a good thing to finish the day alright.”

Our reporter duly obliged.

More to come.
