A Betoota Ponds HR manager has offered a teary employee some kind words of advice this afternoon, which are sure to make them feel both heard and understood.

It’s alleged junior accounting employee, Kaylee Weathersford had gone to human resources with a complaint about her manager, citing that the constant barrage of mean spirited and crude comments was heavily impacting her mental health and making it difficult to come into work every day.

Figuring that Gail the HR lady was there to curb bad behaviour and act as a mediator between employees, Kaylee unfortunately learnt the hard way that in most corporations, human resources (or people and culture managers as they’re often called now) are not there to help you

“I love my job but I’m really struggling to work with Johnathon”, said a teary Kaylee, accepting the box of tissues offered, “he’s very inappropriate and it’s making me uncomfortable.”

“The other day he commented that I had birthing hips.”

“And then said my presentation was trash and I should go back to working in the deli.”

“I’ve never worked in a deli?”

Nodding empathetically as she took all these details down, Gail says she completely understands but has Kaylee thought about getting over it and shutting the fuck up.

“Trust me, I get it, I really do.”

“But I need you to put your big girl pants on and just deal with it.”

“I’m so glad you felt comfortable to tell me though.”

More to come.”
