A coastal pub musician is slaying two birds with one stone by driving around in a bomby old van that he enjoys both ironically and practically.

Known to both serenade and bother frequenters of pubs in Betoota’s sister port of Magpie Bay, Jeremy ‘Rocket Boy’ Jatz has a borderline monopoly on acoustic sessions in the idyllic coastal village.

To make it to the seemingly endless array of beer gardens and half-cocked stage areas, Jatz employs the use of a battered old van that both compliments his pseudo-nomadic image while also making sure he has enough space for musical equipment that can convincingly steal Ed Sheeran’s sound.

“It converts into a camper too,” stated Jatz, showing our reporting team a battered sleeping bag crushed beneath the weight of eight loop pedals.

“I used to have nine loop pedals but some kids stole one. For their crimes the town awarded them $1000.”

Jatz also showed our reporting team the tape deck in his car which allows him to ironically enjoy classic tunes as they were intended while also giving him the only practical and affordable way for him to listen to music while driving.

“The lady at the op shop just lets me take them for free! How good is that?”
