Popular morning television host David Koch has today confirmed that he will be standing down as the host of Sunrise.
The long time host of the Channel 7 program made the announcement live on air this morning, shocking viewers of the program who apparently thought he would go on hosting the show for ever.
The notable face of the program and trusted financial advisor revealed he is retiring from his hosting duties to focus on his burgeoning cryptocurrency scam empire.
Kicking things off a year or so ago, Kochie has made himself the face of a wide ranging internet scam business which scams boomers out of their money in return for cryptocurrency that doesn’t actually exist – unlike the other stuff, which definitely does.
Using a wide array of images and hammed up stories about his arrest, death and investments, the Koch man has been able to rake in the big bucks off the back of his trusted reputation.
Speaking to The Advocate about his decision, Kochie said it was a no-brainer.
“Mate, the crypto scam business sure beats the shit out of waking up in the middle of the night and then pretending to bubbly and full of like at 6:30 every morning,” laughed Koch.
“The hours for my internet business are much, much better.”
When asked about expansion plans for the business, Koch said he planned on poaching the Cash Cow as early as next month.
“The Cash Cow’s standing in the community is unparalleled, it’s a perfect fit.”
