In global news, one of Betoota’s most worldly fashion designers has hit the streets of New York this morning to show people back home what a cupcake looks like in America.
On a work trip to “The Big Apple”, Phoebe Steph-Andrews (34) is believed to be on a two week jaunt to the States after lining up a series of meetings with potential distributors for her new line of athleisure wear.
After waking up in Brooklyn and treating her followers to some moody shots of locals commuting to work over the Brooklyn Bridge, Phoebe tucked herself into a cafe in Lower Manhattan to map out her first 24 hours in the city that never sleeps.
Excited to show off New York’s trendiest food spots to the uncultured swine back home in Betoota, Phoebe spent 25 minutes researching which cupcake bakery was worth a visit and worth some space on her Instagram story.
Googling “Best Cupcakes In New York”, Phoebe sifted through several blogs before resting on pop culture favourite Magnolia Bakery, a shop made famous for its appearances in Sex in the City and The Devil Wears Prada.
After queuing up with several other tourists to get her shot of the world’s most photographed bakery, Phoebe picked out two cute vanilla cupcakes with pink and blue sprinkles from the display fridge, and headed outside to get her money shot.
Framing the hunk of sugary icing against the backdrop of Magnolia’s famous blue awning, Phoebe took several snaps before settling on a shot that really nailed the lighting.
Uploading the photo with a fat geotag of ‘New York City’, Phoebe decided she’d caption the photo with a gloating phrase to show all her followers that she was no stranger to the best bakery in town.
“IYKYK” she wrote in Instagram’s pink cosmopolitan font.
More to come.
