A local corporate has unleashed a personal rebrand this morning, as she undertakes a mission to let her colleagues know she’s still got some street cred.
Strutting into a glass atrium foyer in downtown Betoota, senior sales manager Alicia Jacobs is understood to have put a mid-2000’s spin on her corporate attire, by rolling out a fresh pair of red-on-white Air Force 1s to pair with a fitted black blazer.
A senior executive who’s usually very partial to a Saba warehouse sale, it’s understood colleagues were impressed with Alicia’s ability to seamlessly integrate some RnB’ Friday approved footwear into her usual corporate garb.
Speaking to the Compton fashionista, Alicia admitted to our reporter that the kicks were inspired by an unexpected swerve into a Throwback Thursday playlist, that was fed into her Spotify queue.
“Somehow ‘Dilemma’ by Nelly and Kelly Rowland got served in my Daily Mix, and before you know it I was listening to that entire Nellyville album.”
“Remember ‘Hot in Here’, seriously it still slaps!”
Asked whether her recent Foot Locker purchase would be making a weekly appearance, Alicia told The Advocate she’s planning to lean into her rediscovered love for iPod Mini-era hip-hop all summer long.
“I’ve got a hens in November, so I’m planning to gather all the girls at the Brisbane Showgrounds for that RNB Fridays tour!”
“Did you know Craig David and Ashanti are coming down under?!”
More to come.
